I am a Director of FRMSTAFF and myfreightcareer. Established in 1998 with a vision to supply professional recruitment and training solutions specifically for the Import and Export, International Trade Logistics, Freight Forwarding (Air and Sea), Road and Rail Transport, Shipping and Aviation industries.

Commencing my career in the International Freight and Logistics industry at the age of 18 I held operational and managerial positions and recognised a need for a specialist training and recruitment provider to the industry.

My involvement with our business is all-encompassing and varied from the day to day running of the business including marketing, sales, compliance, expansion, staff development and most importantly making coffee each morning.

Being part of a company that has helped so many people find their dream job or helping companies find the right staff for their business gives me a great sense of satisfaction, coupled with watching the amazing people who work in my team flourish and grow.

Outside of work family is the thing that gives me the most enjoyment, they keep me grounded and appreciative.

I am a Director of My Freight Career and FRMSTAFF. FRMSTAFF was established in 1998 as recruitment company providing services for the International Freight, Customs and Logistics Industry.

Following a successful career in international freight forwarding I combined my love of the industry and my passion to help people and was instrumental in establishing FRMSTAFF and myfreightcareer.

Dedicated to assisting experienced people and new starters to find their place in the supply chain industry, I am proud of my involvement with their growth and development.

Outside of work my family is my priority, they are my focus and my joy.

I lead a successful team of recruiters who deliver outstanding results for our treasured candidates and loyal client base, whilst working closely with our MyFreightCareer division to identify and deliver on holistic solutions including traineeships and staff professional development.

I joined FRMSTAFF in February 2016 bringing 22 years of recruitment experience to the recruitment division of a recognised leader in training and recruitment services to the international forwarding, customs and logistics industry.

Prior to embarking in a career in recruitment I was employed within the freight forwarding industry for 10 years where I gained exposure to all operational disciplines including freight, transport, customs and sales. I had the pleasure of working with some of the most inspiring leaders of the industry and this experience was instrumental in my continuing success as a specialist recruiter.

Outside of work I enjoying quality time with my wonderful family - we are all active in the great outdoors, love adventure and travel plus spending quality time with our fabulous friends.

Having started with FRMSTAFF in 2004 as the QLD Manager, I have undertaken a variety of functions within my role but have primarily been involved with the training of new entrants into the Transport and Logistics industry. As part of this role, I have undertaken most functions of the business process from recruitment, selection, training, staff development, material development, company sales, compliance, etc. In 2013 I left the company and travelled overseas, primarily in Sweden, returning to employment with the company in 2014.

I hold a variety of qualifications including a Bachelor of Business, with an extended major of Human Resource Management; and, a Certificate IV Training and Assessment. Industry specific qualifications that I hold include Diplomas in Logistics and International Freight Forwarding; and, Certificate IVs in Aviation Ground Operations, Aviation Flight Operations, Warehousing and Storage, and, Administration.

I have been involved in the international freight forwarding industry since 1994. During this period, I have worked in a variety of positions for both MNC and SME freight forwarding operations, as well as a direct importer.

Why I love what I do – when ‘fit’ is obtained (i.e., the right person in the right position) then there is success for everyone!!

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Ultimately, I love to travel and experience other countries and their cultures……. but, like everyone, I need to work in order to have the money to do this!

I have almost 15 years’ experience in international freight and logistics and love being able to pass on my passion and knowledge.

I stepped into the industry when I was 19 years old, completing my traineeship in international freight forwarding in Bremen, Germany. I was later awarded a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, specialising in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

I am proud to be part of the My Freight Career team, helping young people get into the industry and build successful lifelong careers. Seeing them succeed and grow gives me a lot of joy and satisfaction and keeps me coming to work each day! Outside of work I like to be outdoors with my dogs, visit art galleries and perform with my dance troupe!

I commenced my Human Resources career whilst completing a Bachelor of Psychology. As a Human Resources professional, I was involved in administration, handling end-to-end recruitment, managing employee relations, coordinating corporate events and inductions and office management.

Prior to joining FRMSTAFF I discovered the logistics industry through my employment with DSV within the contract logistics division. In this position, my responsibilities included being the point-of-contact for Human Resources enquiries as well as supporting warehouse safety and compliance teams. I was mentored by an industry leader, who specialised in operations and safety, and this exposed me how incredible the logistics and transport industry can be.

During my journey I found my interest always gravitated towards recruitment, which has now led me to my current role at FRMSTAFF as a Recruitment Support Consultant. I am excited to continue recruiting and speaking to wonderful candidates and clients in the freight forwarding industry!

For fun on the weekends, my partner and I love to drive to coastal towns to enjoy a day at the beach or drive to a country town to continue our search for the best pie!
